I hoped you smooshed it quickly.

N-not so much "smooshed", as... uhm... made it crash into an enormous billboard. I... suppose the end result could be considered the same...

Problem solved, either way. . . . Though I was under the impression that monsters didn't generally exist in your world.

No, they didn't! I wonder... what could have made a grasshopper grow to such a size? Can you think of anything, Mr. Klarth, capable of making something normally so small transform like that? There was a man riding the beast... I think he must have been controlling it. Come to think of it, he looked a little... odd as well...

There are lots of ways it might've occurred in my world. But I can't say about yours -- If there was a man controlling it, I'd expect that he had a hand in the matter.

What do you mean by odd?

[now how did I miss this new entry, here]

Giant grasshopper...?

[W-well, it's recent...]

Yes... this was back home, mind you. I had paid a visit to Toto Books and found a really great book! I purchased it well... on credit..., stepped outside the shop and this giant grasshopper bounced down the street and tried to steal it from me!

Reposting...
[...because I clicked "Post" in a hurry; damn suspicious ad was on the page preview page. Thought of better edits, and promptly forgot them again. =(]

That's strange. I'm pretty sure grasshoppers don't eat paper, but then again, I've never heard of them growing that big either. Do you have any idea why it went after your book?

Re: Reposting...
It was being directed by a strange man riding on it... he had a pair of antennae like the grasshopper. All he really said was that he was going to take my book and then the grasshopper grabbed it... picked it and me up and tried to carry it off.

Stupid Sol is stupid late. Sorry. ^^;

Huh. I might've thought of that as nothing out of the ordinary if it had happened here. Was there anything special about this book of yours?

A giant grasshopper found itself interested in a book?
deathly_origami
Mar. 28th, 2010 03:52 pm (UTC)
It wasn't so much the grasshopper who seemed interested as the man riding the grasshopper. I think... he must have been controlling it somehow. He was the one who wanted the book, but it was the grasshopper that tried to take it from me. It nearly succeeded too...

I can't fathom what it must be like to ride a giant grasshopper. If he'd wanted the book, however, would he not simply have had to ask?
deathly_origami
Mar. 28th, 2010 10:04 pm (UTC)
Well... asking for it might have been a more logical approach.. b-but... I'd just bought it! I hadn't even read it yet!

A grasshopper? Really?

I always thought they'd be more interested in plants.

A strange looking man was riding on it... I think he was directing it somehow. He said, "Your book is now mine," and then the grasshopper's... erm... mouth... extended... and snatched my book... and me too when I didn't let go of it!

That is still really bizarre. If I could control animals, a grasshopper still wouldn't be the way to go.

Jeez. Sorry you had to go through that.

Really? What animal would be your preference, Jaime?

It's alright. I managed to stop him and keep my book so...

I almost have a hard time believing it... but it really happened, I swear! I-I'm not sure how the grasshopper grew to nearly the size of the apartment building or why the man riding on it wanted my book, but...

I suppose I ought to just be happy that I was able to stop them.

Yes, a strange looking man... he had antennae like the grasshopper! I believe he was controlling, or at the very least, directing it. It made quite a mess of the street...
